Product Description
Synopsis
"Mind Controllers" examines the Pentagon's experiments with psychic techniques following the discovery that Russia was researching parapsychology for covert missions.

From the Publisher
Summary
The battle for men's minds can be a dirty business. For decades, the secret services of world powers have sought new ways to control the way people think and act. Mind Controllers reveals how the US, USSR and the UK conducted highly questionable experiments with psychic techniques. Millions of dollars were spent on ESP, remote viewing, psychokinetics, LSD, telepathy and brainwashing. More than 10,000 former 'guinea pigs', including hospital patients, pregnant women, children and prisoners, claim they were exploited and harmed without their consent. Using Freedom of Information Acts, the author has assembled documentary proof of these programmes, uncovering disturbing evidence that the intelligence world would prefer to keep secret. -Avoiding conspiracy theory, his book is the first to explore in depth the murky and secretive world of mind control. - The author and is a writer and campaigner on freedom of information issues.

3.0 out of 5 stars Very Good Reference Book, 8 Mar 2001
By A Customer
Excellent book as far as information handling goes. However, the themes are a bit itsybitsy and there is no real story line to grab on to. He would have been better concentrating on one specific aspect of mind control, like brain implants and LSD. A very good book though, one should definitely buy it.
