Product Description

Product Description

Someone - or some group - was responsible for the terrible carnage in the Paris underpass in August 1997. It may simply have been those who allowed Henri Paul to drive while he was apparently drunk. Or was it a planned 'hit' by a group skilled in the proven technique of killing by stealth? "Who Killed Diana?" poses tough questions about the conflicting testimonies and many suspicious factors. And it condemns the silence in France and Britain about what really happened. The book casts doubt on the assumption that the driver was three times over the legal limit. It assembles the evidence that Diana and Dodi had become a threat to the British Establishment. It shows who might have intervened in the most brutal fashion, examining their motives and how an assassination could have been carried out.

From the Publisher

synopsis
The extraordinary delay in producing an official report into the crash that killed Diana, Princess of Wales and Dodi Fayed is to many an indication that their deaths were not simply an accident. The French investigation was sketchy on details and many important factors were omitted. The authors of Who Killed Diana? question whether there was indeed a plot to murder the mother of the heir to the throne and the son of a controversial figure in the UK and forward some interesting possibilities. This thought-provoking title shows that a careful investigation can yield much more than the authorities release into the public domain. - Blanket 'ban' on UK publicity suggests that the theories forwarded by Hounam and McAdam hit a raw nerve with the British Establishment. - Co-written by the former head of the respected Sunday Times Insight Team.

4.0 out of 5 stars Misadventure or what?, 9 May 2003
By Ronald Sampson (Crieff, Perthshire United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
Hounam & McAdam have produced a well researched work. It is full of facts that are so extraordinary they exceed the imagination of most fiction. There is apparent evidence of dirty tricks by security agencies. We find intrigue, spy's in Vienna including a Third Man. MI6, CIA and unofficial agents have questions posed that remain unanswered. This is not a book concerned with the Charles Diana relationships, it focuses firmly upon the title. It exposes much about Dodi that is not hackneyed, well trawled material. From the page turning evidence that is snappily produced it is hard to discount that there was the potential for a murder plot. Should the reader conclude that in spite of the evidence that it was misadventure, then it could be the perfect murder.
