3.0 out of 5 stars Great Idea, Poorly Executed, 26 Dec 2008
The images in this book are rarely larger than thumbnail size. Each image has one page of cursory text to accompany it, the print of the text being larger than that found on the images themselves. Given that the primary focus of this book is to examine the imagery so prevalent throughout the troubles it's a very disappointing read when you can barely make out the details of said images.

I was fascinated by the idea of a book which catalogued numerous murals, posters and other visual propaganda from this period, but I felt that the effort fell short because of the minute reproductions of these images and the seemingly space-filling textual accompaniment.

If this book hadn't been a gift I'd probably have returned it.
