3.0 out of 5 stars An old African tale brought to life in a modern age, 14 Mar 2002
By mbrown1549@cs.com (Santa Fe, NM, USA) - See all my reviews
An ancient African folk tale woven expertly into a story of intrigue and excitement. The Claw demonstrates how Africa is still a continent of new and old cultures. A chance event that occurred in the life of a young gameguard comes back and drags an older couple back into a world they had forgotten existed. This story exemplifies the strong belief of today's modern African that there are other forces that exist which can be manipulated for good or evil. The writer has a knack of weaving the story together so that the reader feels the pulse of Africa today but leaves no doubt as to the power of the spirit on its people. Anyone who has spent time in Africa will enjoy this book - for the pure story content and perhaps for a wee bit of nostalgia.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very topicaland entertaining, different!!!, 12 Mar 2001
By A Customer
The author obviously has a great knowlege of his subject and has done extensive research. The focus of ths novel is so different form the usual generated story lines you encounter these days It is so obvious to me that this book is the basis of a great movie. The whole family read it and loved it, I had to wait a couple of days to get my hands on it.
