Synopsis
This is a collection of diverse writings from staff and research students of The Manchester School of Architecture. Within it the reader will be able to detect many of the common themes interesting architects today. For example, sustainability, cultural associations, representation and urban issues are all there in more than one of the papers. There are, however, writings that address other interests; some personal; some even esoteric and some are offered not as an end result of investigation but as part of the process of discovery. Together they form only a small part of the gamut of ongoing discussions within Architecture, but a part nevertheless that the reader should find interesting.
