about this bookThis 116-page volume is one of the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff (UWIC) series of psychology workbooks. It was written to support the third year cognitive science modules on the BSc (Hons) Psychology and BSc (Hons) Speech and Language Therapy programmes. It contains foundation chapters on information theory, practical cognitive modeling, and control theory, which then support later chapters on two of the largest areas of modern psycholinguistics, namely language "transcoding" and speech production. It comes complete with 30 progressively paced student exercises, 39 diagrams, 3 mini-glossaries, and 7 historical appendices.
