This is one of those rare things to be published about Italian Gardens-a concise and easily transportable book. It is a simple idea,but highly effective for it gives the very essence of each garden alongside indispenable information about opening hours,contact telephone numbers and even directions. (I would rather not remember the precious hours lost searching for gardens on previous visits) It then goes on to include information about everything else you would wish to know prior to your visit. The Gardens featured includes nearly all of those that are open to visits, and it's clear that a huge amount of research has gone into this book. I have spent many hours searching for this information and only wish I knew that it existed several months ago.My hand luggage will be several kilos lighter when I return to Italy this month, garden visiting itinerary complete ,thanks to Alex Ramsay and Helena Attlee.
