4.0 out of 5 stars A star amongst dream books...., 21 Dec 2004
You can wander into any bookshop these days and view a plethora of books concerning themselves with dreams, most of them about dream interpretation and such like. however, they are all much of a muchness, But what a pleasant suprise when a friend lent me thier personal copy of the above book. I can tell you that the techniques within the book do actually work and for anyome interested in consciousness, spirituality and other realities this book is a must. A refreshing and timely new angle on dreams and how to manipulate your own inner realities. Naturally I have now purchased my own copy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome, and then I slept!, 13 Feb 2002
As always John & Julie have a special way of explaining things - this time our dreams and how we dream and sleep. A great book, if you can stay awake and read it - i kept falling into a great dreaming reality!

3.0 out of 5 stars Well written, yet lacking depth, 26 Jun 2005
By H. Gilbert "Jonathan Spilhaus" (London) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This is quite a good book, well researched with an imposing set of references. Yet I can only award three stars to this work because of two reasons:
1) The book does not go deep enough.
2) Reading this book is rather boring. It lacks passion and 'punch'.
Readers should also consider Tenzin Wangyal's book, which does a far better job. It goes into awaking consciousness in both dream and sleep. The writing has the clarity and interest to sustain the reader through the years.
Silverthorn and Overdurf have written a rather slick summary of dreaming techniques. The pyschological and Ericksonian tecniques are quite clever and may suit readers for its particular slant.
