Designed for walkers, and other outdoor adventurers, this 1:40,000 scale map covers the region of the Tramuntana from west of Valledemosa to the Formentor and Alcudia peninsulas; Mallorca's main walking region.
All the 44 walking routes from Walk! Mallorca (North & Mountains) guide book are clearly highlighted. Wherever possible we have incorporated the waypoint number into the waypoint symbols so everybody can clearly locate their position on the map. Several paths now either disappeared or closed to walkers have been removed from our database so that you will not be led into impossible situations.
Datum is WGS84 with a 1 minute Latitude Longitude grid making the map GPS Compatible.
In 2003 we asked one of Britain's leading cartographers to advise us on our map design; not just any consultant but council member of the British Cartographic Society Mary Spence. Mary was awarded an MBE in the 2004 New Years Honours List for her services to UK cartography. We've incorporated Mary Spence's recommendations into the design resulting in exceptional clarity.
