I have just returned from a week walking in the area described in this guide. I also took with me two far more expensive guides to walking in Mallorca, but this was by far the best. What makes this a good guide book is the level of detail provided. Every walk is timed along the way, e.g. after 16 minutes you will see a donkey in a field on your left. Well we might not have seen the donkey but most of the more permanent features were found when and where they should have been. The maps provided are not brilliant, but they are better than some of the sketch maps that appear in other guides. The author writes with clarity and humour, a must for anyone who wants to enjoy walking in this beautiful part of Mallorca.

When I wrote this Mallorca Mountains was 'out of stock'. I think this is because every walker is buying one! As the joint author this makes me very happy that so many people are enjoying walking in this superb region of the island. Our guide caters for everyone one from the active stroller up to the energetic hiker. This was our first guide in our "Book & Map" format and is very well received by walkers. Based on Soller and Puerto Soller this is where everyone should take a Spring or Autumn breal enjoying Mallorca's superb climate and scenery, along with some excellent catering! David Brawn - joint author.

Our holiday was really 'made' by this guide. It's easy to use and clear to follow with really detailed maps.
