Product Description

Book Description

More than 300 past and present favourites are featured among Ivan Ponting's beautifully crafted unofficial player profiles to produce a completely revised, expanded and stunningly re-designed and illustrated book.
Added to this edition are not only Old Trafford's latest stars, but full profiles of Sir Matt Busby's magnificent 1948 FA Cup winning side as well as an entry on every man who ever kicked a ball for the club. Even if they only played one senior game, you'll find them here. This is not just another book on the most popular club in the world, but a volume constructed with warmth, insight and colour by a writer who has followed the Red Devils for as long as he can remember.

5.0 out of 5 stars Every single Red Devil, 25 Dec 2004

(REAL NAME)
In 1989, I bought Ivan Ponting's first 'player by player' book. And I thought it was time to have an updated edition. This new version is superb, every player since 1955 is given a great profile. In this new edition, there are profiles of all of the 1948 FA cup winning side and a list of names that have represented United (and Newton Heath, their forerunners). The only bad thing is that with player turnover, the book becomes dated quickly as new players arrive.
