Synopsis
The first hilarious stand-alone novel from the creator of the best-selling Angel series, Double Take tells how to rob Heathrow Airport and get away with it. An Italian Job for the 21st century, with swearing in several languages - some of it translated - chillies as offensive weapons, but no Minis. Double Take also deconstructs one of Agatha Christie's most audacious plots. Double Take: The novel and the screenplay (the funniest caper movie never made) together in a single added-value volume.
From the Publisher
Mike Ripley's first non-Angel novel couldn't be more current - or any funnier. In his usual witty way, he recounts (in the style of a man in a west London pub) a scam to rob Heathrow Airport. Needless to say, all is not as it seems and as the police struggle to keep on top of events, the multi-motived, multi-racial cast of characters don't always act as expected. This is very possibly Mr Ripley's finest outing to date and for those who can't wait for the film, the script is included for nothing - and gratis - after the novel. And I am very honoured to see that one of the characters shares my name. Any resemblence, as they say, is entirely coincidental.
