Product Description

Product Description

Some 30,000 children are homeless in Bombay; living on its streets, under bridges, anywhere they can escape harassment by both police and criminals. This photographic collection captures this cruelly hazardous background for these young people.

5.0 out of 5 stars one of the best documentary photography books ever, 6 Nov 2001
By A Customer
Dario Mitidieri has captured in his work the life and soul of Bombay street children. The photographs tell a story which touches every aspect of their lives, leaving us in the end overwhelmed with the experience. Mitidieri spent a year in Bombay during this project and one can see that in his pictures. They defy all the cliches, and give us a great portrait of the street children, showing us their strength and dignity.
