5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Ideas book for people seeking tested routes in UK, 5 Dec 1999
By A Customer
I bought this book to help me branch out beyond the honeypot areas of the UK's national parks and experience the less frequented routes.

I have been delighted with the ideas the book gives. It is easy to navigate by region and the one line summaries at the top of each chapter indicate the map, start/finish, a distance and time for each route.

The routes are truly challenging and I have rarely completed a full route mainly due to transport issues. However they have enabled me to plan routes in areas I would otherwise not have ventured into without someones personal recommendation.

I have always felt the descriptins and timing accurate for a person of above average fitness and an experienced mountain walker.

The other attribute of the book I love is the small size (20*15cm)and it often goes in the top of my rucksack on trips.
