5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely -- a great read packed with useful information., 14 Nov 2003

An exceptionally well researched and presented book. This makes an entertaining read even if you aren't planning to build a house just now. The authors rate and recommend building materials from "best practice" to "avoid if possible". This book is also useful for anyone wanting to improve the environmental impact of an existing building. Shame about the price, though.

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't start building without this book!, 8 Dec 2001
By A Customer
Definitely a must for anyone who is thinking of building an 'eco' house, or improving the ecological integrity of the existing one. It goes over all aspects and although you would need more information on certain specifics, such as wind turbines, this book will certainly give you a good overview and establish clear views in your mind about ecological building, the do's and the don'ts.
