4.0 out of 5 stars Inspiration and useful pattern, 3 Feb 2004

I bought the book because the pattern in the cover interested me, but to my delight I found more interesting patterns inside! I use this also as a source of inspiration: I seldom make any pattern as it is, and this book has so many different varities to offer, that I have already designed six new ones myself mixing the charts. Pullovers and cardigans for adults and children...

5.0 out of 5 stars Definately 'The best' patterns, 28 Jul 2005
By Janice McKinnon (Galashiels, Selklirkshire United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
I've always enjoyed knitting aran patterns which is why I chose this book. And I wasn't disappointed. There are so many different patterns and styles to choose from. There's also a section at the end which explains how to knit, and do cables etc and how to follow the graphs. I think even a novice to aran and celtic knitting would be able to knit any one of these delightful patterns, and an expert will love trying them all!

5.0 out of 5 stars Good range of celtic/aran designs, 2 Mar 2009
This book has a good range of mostly female garment designs using celtic and aran techniques. They cover both traditional and more modern styles, and would suit both novice and experienced knitters.
