The problem with a book like this is that the good cheats are either obsolete or still in use, and what you get is essentially a litany of fairly petty and/or rather too obvious ways of breaking the rules.

As an insight into how NASCAR deals with cheating it's moderately interesting, but I think you'll have much more fun with Smokey Yunick's autobiography - he single-handedly raised cheating to an art-form!

Most of the cheats described in here are fairly obvious, relating to iffy aerodynamics, oversized engines, dodgy restrictor plates, and underweight cars...

NASCAR's approach to cheating is largely restricted to big fines because of their aversion to changing the race results after the flag's dropped, so in a sense the rich get faster and the poor get slower...

There are few revelations in here that you won't pick up from the pages of the racing mags. It's interesting to compare and contrast with the FIA's approach to those found outside the regulations, though...
