5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent memory fun, 15 Sep 2004
If your looking for a book to learn to memorize grocery lists, win a nobel prize in the cluedo show or memorize a deck of cards, then look no further, as this book is a masterpiece. This book inspired me in to my quest to achieve photographic recall, but as to date i cant find a book that explains how to do it, as i am a chess intermediate player and i need to store chess moves to improve my knoledge of chess opens. This book talks about link and loci system and how you can convert difficult to remember things into a piece of cake, however when it comes to the need of remembering several chess openings, it just gets a little tricky. Mind you its not the books fault that we're all born with rubbish memory, This book does show how to get around forgetfullness to a much better memory. If i find a way to memorize chess openings, i'll write a book myself.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good for memory enthusiasts, 8 Oct 2004
I would reccomend this book to anyone that is in to memory improvement, as it does give out some usefull information on memory statistics. It helps to place information such as grocery lists, chess moves, cluedo competition, etc., right into the long term memory, very good in that area, and also if your serious about poker or card games it also shows you how to memorize every card so you know which card is next and what everyone has. There is a serious problem within the schooling education whereas a lot of students aren't informed about this information and i believe that they should at least be informed about the books existant. I wasn't informed and i spent a lot of time using rote memorization, hardly could ever go out, no time to socialize. I have found it usefull now as it helps me to memorize some chess moves, i hope you find use it to help you to get through your schooling.
