The UnderWorld Initiation takes the reader on a journey through symbols and myths common throughout the western pantheon of simple mythical components (i.e.-sungod myth). This is an ideal, unbiased resource for both the advanced enthusiast, as well as one just begining a spiritual search.

(REAL NAME)      
The Underworld Initiation is the first of RJ Stewart's Underworld books (the next being "Earth Light",and the third being "Power Within The Land"). As such, it is a work of value to anyone working within the Underworld tradition/Faery Realm.

Perhaps not quite as accessible as the fantastic "Earth Light" and "Power Within The Land" (thus only 4 stars), but an important work nevertheless.

I have read half a dozen titles by this author and this was the least able to connect with me. My personal favourite is "Celtic Gods and Goddesses". I think if you read John and Caitlin Matthews' masterful "Walking the Western Way" you would probably find that much more rewarding than this title. It would have made a decent article but IMHO too thin for a full length book. Sorry! Did do better later!
