5.0 out of 5 stars horse follow closely, 19 Jan 2003
By Nicky (west yorkshire) - See all my reviews
I was wary of ... [buying] ... this book, thinking that it might be just a collection of photographs with some 'copywriter' type text which did not really tell me anything.

quite the reverse! The stunning photographs are integrated beautifully with the text, which is definitely written from the heart as well as being clear, informative and interesting.

His philosophy, based on native american horsemanship, is clearly laid out, along with practical exercises which can be followed.

I definitely recommend this book. It is excellently presented and would make a lovely present.

5.0 out of 5 stars A touching and thought provoking read - a "Must Have!", 1 Oct 1999
By A Customer
Those people who wish to do more than just sit on a horse and ride will find this book of real benefit.

I found myself reading the book before sleeping, dreaming of horses, then waking in the small hours to read more.

GaWaNi is not a Horse Whisperer but tries to explain how to build a partnership with your mount, with trust and leadership being key skills.

Remember the old saying "Do Unto Others As You Would Have Done Unto Yourself" well it's well worth remembering when your riding.

A fantastic present for anyone who wants to have a soulmate at the stable and not a four legged form of transport.

WONDERFUL BOOK. THE PHOTOS SHOW THE WARMTH AND DEPTH OF FEELING AND UNDERSTANDING HE HAS FOR HIS HORSES. THEY OBVIOUSLY TRUST AND LOVE HIM. IF ONLY EVERYONE COULD SPARE THE TIME AND UNDERSTANDING THAT HE HAS FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL AND TRUSTING ANIMAL. MY HORSES DEFINATELY BENEFITTED FROM THIS BOOK. SUPERB!
