What's so funny about a 'Date From Hell'?
"You think THAT was a 'Date From Hell'! Wait 'til you here MINE!" That's how Victoria Jackson and I got the idea for this book. We were swapping 'hell date' stories, and we realized that just about everybody has had some kind of awful dating experience. And here's the interesting part: What seemed 'get-me-outta-here' terrible at the time seems really funny in the rear-view mirror. We look back and laugh. Being able to laugh at our own terrible times is therapeutic; and laughing at other people's stories is just plain fun!

So where did our stories come from? All over America, and beyond, thanks to our website. The e-mails started rolling in, and people were just bustin' to tell us their tales of awful evenings, noxious nights and woeful weekends. And yes, they're funny! For instance...

*** ALGERNON who thought he was getting on great with a girl who was confiding her deepest secrets to him. Until she said she'd only told him all those things because she thought he was gay...

*** NORMA who was flattered that her date snuggled so close as they danced, until she found he was leaning in to spit a stream of tobacco juice over he shoulder into a styrofoam cup. And missing it...

*** ROSIE who went on a blind date with a man she'd ‘met' in an Internet chat room. He was older, fatter, and balder than he'd described himself, and asked her to come back to his apartment as he was nervous about being alone ever since he'd been released from the Institution...

*** DEREK who leapt up naked with a martini in each hand to surprise his girlfriend. Only, it wasn't his girlfriend. It was her mom and dad, returning unexpectedly from vacation...

Worst book I have ever read. I thought I would get Samons book too and got this instead. It is awful. Why isn't my other review here? I also felt tricked. The glowing reviews are anonymous. How lame. I do not recommend this book to anybody.

I am looking for the real book and got sent to this one and that is bad. The real book by Samon is very hilarious and that is the one I have bought for a long time for Valentine's Day. This book is not funny and I do not like being tricked. I can tell from the other reader comment here that this whole thing is a gimmick because they wrote their own reviews. This all very bad. Where is Samon's Dates From Hell book?
