5.0 out of 5 stars An amazing collection of pieces, quotes and interviews., 21 Nov 2002
if you are a graffiti artist in the making this book is perfect! It is similar to books such as subway art and spray can art by Henry Chalfant, Martha Cooper and James Prigoff. this book has over 700 pictures of great pieces crammed into 153 pages plus interviews with the artists who wrote them. This book particularly stands out as it was written by a graffiti writer, Roger Gastman. He is very modest as only 2 of the pages are on himself. It also includes some history like how cool "disco" dan helped change graffiti to what it is today.Although it is not all historical as the pieces and styles range from bubble writing from the 80's, to complex 3d pieces from around the millenium. This a great book for anyone who enjoys drawing or spraying graffiti. Definately worth the money!!!
