3.0 out of 5 stars Adequate, 19 Aug 1998
By A Customer
This book presents a very physical form of Qigong (Chi Kung) that seems at first more like calisthenics. The descriptions of the moves are sometimes hard to follow, but there are many photographs that illustrate the moves. Particularly helpful is the appendix that shows all of the major meridians and the points on them.

This is one of the few books I've seen that focuses on Qigong from a medicinal perspective. The author lists which exercises may be performed for specific ailments. It is a down-to-earth book that gives basic information, but its drawback is that it begins to touch upon deeper issues, such as the five elements, and then abrubtly moves on.
