5.0 out of 5 stars How to lose the cheesy pop-porn from your writing, 29 Mar 2006
By A Customer
This review is from: The Joy of Writing Sex (Paperback)
Despite the title this is a really classy book. It shows you how to write pulitzer prize sex scenes rather than sleazy. It isn't a handbook for porn writers at all. It is aimed at literary fiction writers. It teaches you primarily that sex scenes are always about something other than sex. Definitely one of the best (and most entertaining) writing books I own.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent discussion of issues relating to writing about sex, 26 Jul 1996
By A Customer
Great book to flesh out your approach to writing about sex. The author rightfully points out that writing about sex evokes the oft hidden world of the writer's own inhibitions. Great integration tips for sexual discussions within a larger story.
