If you are a discerning Farscape fan this book is for you. Talis Pelucir dissects each episode for plot, character development, direction, even political correctness. While I don't agree with him on every point, it is refreshing to have some strong opinions aired, and he certainly makes me think much harder about my favourite Sci-fi show. My main reserve would be that gender politics are not necessarily as simplistic as some of his criticisms allow, and that in spite of his PC attitudes he sees the show from a very masculine point of view. The great attraction of this show for women is its strong female characters, never mind the eye candy - and the great acting, which he really does not give much space to.
Read this and you will have to watch it all over again, several times, while you argue with Mr Pelucir. I would just like to have his e-mail address!
