4.0 out of 5 stars Heavy Story, Light Read, 26 Jul 1998
By A Customer
I just finished this wonderful book after only two days. I couldn't put it down. Panzarino writes her own life story in a novel-like, episodic narrative style. She tells her story with shocking honesty as well as humor. This book is both eye-opening and entertaining, and I highly recommend it.

1.0 out of 5 stars lack of insight, 13 Aug 1999
By A Customer
Although well situated to recollect an important place and time in the history of the disability rights movement in the United States, the author fails to provide insight into the daily life of disabled people. This is particularly unfortunate as there is not an adequate amount of written material on the life of gay disabled people. The text is also poorly organized and the writing is terrible--the publisher or Panzarino should be embarrassed--a competent line editor could have improved the text significantly.

1.0 out of 5 stars This is a whiney tale of a woman told in simple language., 30 Jun 1999
By A Customer
The story of a womans challenges-drawn out through her self glorifying perspective. She paints much of her family and friends as villians with herself the hero. This book is poorly written and hard to finish.
