This book concentrates not on the cities and major towns (although covered) but on the natural beauty that this fine country exudes. The first eight pages contain an insightful description of the geological makeup through to the socio-political history of New Zealand.

The remainder of the book is a true feast of professional photography at it's best. Each photograph, whether a double page spread or a collection of smaller prints have a paragraph of text to indulge you. All pages are well laid out with a neat simplistic touch using white space. It is the size of a Daily Mail or Express newspaper and the photographs inside are therefore of a captive size, unlike smaller guidebooks.

A very welcome edition to my collection, which exceeded my expectations.

My personal thanks go to Gareth Eyres and Graeme Lay for a quality publication.

New Zealand is a very diverse place. This book covers the very top of the country to the very bottom covering the vast variety of features that it has. As a proud New Zealander living in London, England, I have a copy of this book sitting next to my desk at home. Everytime someone calls round I convince them they must have a look.. I am doing my part for New Zealand tourism. It is a lovely place. Take a look.. this book shows it of great!

Every time people ask me what I have found so special about NZ, I take this book and show its beautiful photo's.

The landscapes, the cities, the people, the colours, the light....it's all perfectly documented in this book. The book brings back a lot of sweet memories and give me that NZ-feeling, every time I read it.
