4.0 out of 5 stars Good starter book for the Palm enthusiast., 17 Feb 2001
This is a very good "beginners" palm book, which is well written and includes very interesting and easy to read chapters on both palm botany and propagation. It is well illustrated with colour pictures throughout and includes many different species of palm although one critism is that some of the very common palm genera have very little or lack info altogether (such as Dypsis and Ceroxylon species)Although this does not detract too much from the book in general.
