Product Description

Product Description

Writings on the Internet, multimedia development, fiction and hypertext, electronic publishing and education. This text is a diverse and, at times, fractious discussion of the issues raised by the development of these new forms of expression. The contributors ask such questions as: what is cyberfeminism?; is the Internet a feminist issue?; how does feminism impact on multimedia production?; what are the possiblities for activism and research on the Internet?; how are colonization, cybersex, and virtuality to be theorised?; and what are the implications for the creative artist?

5.0 out of 5 stars An inpirational book!, 8 Sep 2000
By A Customer
Whoever thought of including 3 sections, connectivity, critique and creativity is brilliant. This book is full of hope and questions. I felt especially inspired by the story of a forty plus year old woman climbing the ropes in the Performing Older Women's Circus cheered on by the crowd in Susan Hawthorne's chapter. More please...
