After reading COWRIE I just had to read The Journey Home. Cowrie goes to Berkeley in the US to study. She has to deal with living in a new culture and coping with her loss of home. The pacific politics was compelling also. I think this book is sad, I shed a few tears when Cowrie had to leave. I am looking forward to reading the third in this collection, Manawa Toa.
