Truly a great book. Superb photographs and a massive understanding of the strength of former Soviet Union nations special fighting techniques. Now that top fighters in the West have to combat so many former Soviet states in major championships, knowledge of their unusual grips, special armlocks, and dramatic pick-up style of fighting is vital. This is the only book available that gives that insight, and it is written by not only a master of the style, but also the trainer of a large number of Belgian fighters who have overcome Eastern block fighters to win European, World and Olympic titles. My personal favourite in the fabulous masterclass series.

Russian judo is a great book highlighting Alexander Iatskevich's techniques of Judo mixed with his own home art of Sambo.Great pick up & gripping techniques & sambo speciality armlocks are shown.Highly recoomende to the Judo player who wants a few new techniques.
