The aim of the book is to provide the busy doctor with a comprehensive review of the most popular cases and data interpretation questions in preparation for the MRCP Part 2 and equivalent examinations in internal medicine. A broad range of subjects is covered in 175 questions including cardiology, nephrology, respiratory diseases, neurology, haematology, rheumatology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, genetics, metabolic medicine/biochemical disorders, toxicology/drug side-effects and environmental medicine, dermatology and infectious diseases. Precise answers and detailed discussion follow each question. Where appropriate important differential diagnoses, diagnostic algorithms and 135 up to date medical lists are presented. Short tutorials are included to aid the interpretation of illustrated material as well as important, and sometimes difficult, clinical data such as respiratory function tests, cardiac catheter data and dynamic endocrine tests. To aid examination technique, answers to difficult questions are presented showing scores from highest to lowest.
