oh, you can have all the unreliable memoirs of bloated has-beens you want, but this mighty tome offers so much more than that; this is the story of the trials and tribulations of a club that is part of the fabric of sport in this country and should probably be listed under the headings for 'social history' if there were any justice. The fact that LCFC has - on so many occasions - threatened to be expunged from that fabric, make this account all the more enjoyable and poignant. Buy it, read it, tell your mates about it.

An amazing insight on the history of Lincoln City Football Club. From the window blinds to the redimps. Past debts to present debts. Every win, draw and loss is displayed as is every goalscorer and attendance. Team photo's also included. This book is a must for Lincoln City enthusiats and for football followers in general. The ins and outs of a struggling football club, which were on the brink of destruction on more than one occasion. Interesting history, interesting book.

The Nannestad brothers have superbly researched over 100 years of history of Lincoln City FC and have put it all together in this wonderful book which progresses through each season's ups and downs, looks at each manager and player, and has all full statistics of the club from it's very beginnings to the end of the 1996/7 season. Sadly, it misses the triumph of the 97/8 season when Lincoln City finally achieved promotion from Division Three. Recommended for all football enthusiasts.
