The purpose of "Instant VB Animation".
I receive many kind emails from readers, who are pleased with the way that the book guided them through an understanding of graphics programming, and the API functions that are essential to success in this area. An updated version of this book is not really necessary for it to be useful for later versions of Visual Basic, since what I teach is the fundamentals so that you understand graphics programming. However, I am beginning to compile the book code in VB6, and will happily receive emails from those who aren't sure if this book is "for you". I will post web site information here, when I have found a new home for my site - hopefully before the end of '98 when VB6.0 is out!

An Excellent introduction to graphic manipulation with the Win32 API, you will need a good programming background in visual basic. Michele leroux's unique hands on approach makes the reading of this book an enjoyable experience. The book also dissects a professionally written screen saver, she shows you how professional make transparent images, swipes etc. The CD-ROM is packed with very good example source code and sprites.
