5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent introduction to C++, 9 Nov 1999
I had originally bought titles such as "Teach Yourself C++ in 21days" but found them quite hard going. After reading the reviews for this text I purchased same. I've been very impressed with the presentation of the book, learning examples and overall structure. Whilst there may be some minor errors (as other reviewers have highlighted) these are generally quite obvious when you have been following the text. My advice to fellow C++ novices - buy this book and a couple of intermediate and advanced books and you'll have a decent programming resource.

5.0 out of 5 stars I recomend this book to everyone thinking about learning C++, 28 Jul 1999
By A Customer
I had recently just finished reading this book and it help me out alot. I was taking a C++ programming course in High School and would not have done as good in the class if I had not read Oleg's book. This book will give you results and it not boring kind of book thats cut and dry. I recomend this book to anybody that plans to learn C++ and also to eventuly learn Visual C++.
