5.0 out of 5 stars All the required detail from 31 years in the promised land, 1 Jun 2001
By S. Layng (Worcester, England) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This book is a fabulous overview of Coventry Citys first 31 years in the top division.I actually bought this book Christmas 1998 and I still continue to dip into it just to remind myself that Ian St John did play for us along with Terry Yorath (Gabys dad) and a load of famous others who passed through the hallowed corridors of Highfield Road. I am writing this from the perspective of having suffered relegation from the Premiership and it makes some of the detail in this book that bit more poingnant. Every single kick is recorded along with memories of games of the season. Some great photographs (a few more and in colour next time please. More of a reference book than a literacy piece but then again who cares. Its always on my coffee table.
