Huw Dillon writes in very fluid way, explaining everything in a clear way so even the not so aikido minded of us can understand it. As good a teacher as writer he puts his true teachings into what he writes, quality book!!

Small and strange and green, this book has haunted me from the shelves for some time now. The author writes with a passion which bounds from the page as he gives his very worthwhile views on aikido as a practice of love, a love which must remain undimmed by the shadow of the ego. Many photos are included of 'trailing arm' techniques which are, unfortunately, a little difficult to decipher. My thoughts certainly go out to his uke! His sincere feelings for the art are strongly presented and were certainly an encouragement to me to move to practice in a new and very profitable way.

Huw Dillon has escaped the dogma which has plagued many an Aikido club for some years now... the book is Mr Dillons "way" in Aikido and many practitioners including high ranking sensei should take a leaf out of Mr Dillons book... I packed in Aikido some years ago to follow a path in Taiji, Hsingichuan & i-chuan as I felt the art as taught in the UK was lacking with severe faults as is described in the book. A refreshing attitude nonetheless.
