This book was handed to me as my politics a-level text book, and tghanks heavens it was. This book was my primary source for revision for my politics A level, without it i would have been largely lost. It covers everything from the basic democratic structures to the ins and outs of the UK system. Only problem is that (as with every politics book) information can become outdated, however it can be easy to find the updated versions of the information in the book online. It explains everything in lamens terms before going into further detail. In fact, i'm so attached to this book that i'm buying it now for my politics degree.

British Politcs in Focus is a fanastic resource for anyone studying politics at any level especially A level. Roy Bentley has provided excellent detail and provides great explanations, even for beginners to politics, that makes it so easy to understand and revise from. My teacher also thinks that it is a fantastic book and we do a lot of work from it. It has proved invaluable to my AS politics revision and I would recommend it to anyone.

I am currently studying A level Politics and Ive found this book is a great accompliment to all the sources and handouts that you will receive during the course. The book covers absolutely every part of the subject with a fluid writing style and you will really gain, if you read the info. throughly. My only criticism of the book is the topic of electoral reform which I do not think is covered in a great way considering it is such a major part of A level but apart from that I can highly recommend it and I am still using mine as I now find it invaluable.
