4.0 out of 5 stars If you buy one book to take to Everest make it this one!!, 1 Aug 2001
By A Customer
This book is a great companion for anyone thinking of attempting the Everest Base Camp Trek. The detail is so much better that the Lonely Planet Trekking in Nepal book which has all the treks in Nepal combined into one and therefore a lot of information you don't need. This book is very user friendly has drawings of the routes and approx walking times etc. Also a good section on Katmandu. If you are going to buy one guide book to take to Everest make it this one!

5.0 out of 5 stars The best guide to everest, 16 May 2004
This book is extremely detailed and informative. The maps are easy to follow and, coupled with the faultless directions, it would be very difficult to get lost when using this book. I would recommend this book to everyone that is going to the everest region. It offers far more detailed route information than the Lonely Planet book and is well worth the money. Buy this book!!

5.0 out of 5 stars This book replase guide, 31 May 2005

(REAL NAME)
In October 2004 with this book we had perfect trekking around Khumbu region. In book you can find all necessary details, such is: accommodation, usual weather situation, orientation and so on. If you are well trained you can merge two days together, but you missed some interesting place around the main paths. Recommended.
