Weather you decide to follow the routes described in the book or make your own, this book will provide you with useful information about the region. Although I just follow a small part of a route suggested by the author, I found the descriptions extremely reliable and explicit (This doesn't mean you that you don't need a map). The rest of the way I did it using my own route, but passing through some of the same places the author did, and again I found it useful.

So I strongly recommend this book, and good luck.
