5.0 out of 5 stars The 'bible' for game fishermen in Scotland, 14 May 2001
By A Customer
This single book provides comprehensive coverage of all one needs to know to arrange fishing in any region in Scotland. For the visitor, particularly to those regions covered with lochs, it can be difficult to know where to start. But, Sandison's book makes that task much much easier. That means less time researching and more time fishing. A real gem.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely necessary, 18 April 2002
By A Customer
A mammoth undertaking from a man who appreciates the finer side of our contemplative art. Bruce's love of the high mountains and open spaces of Scotland shines through this bible of freshwater fly fishing. Although it simply isn't possible to have fished all the waters listed, Bruce has gleaned information from hotels, ghillies and friends. Fly suggestions tend to be traditional. Best used in conjunction with an OS map for which map references are provided for each water. One water in Sutherland described as "dour and difficult" by Bruce yielded 41 trout to my rod...such is fishing!!!
