This guide to the capital city of Scotland is a gem...Perhaps in this instance it's a case of 'small is beautiful' - or maybe it's just local knowledge. It's all here, the sometimes bloody history, the tartans, guides on what to do and see. The colour photos are attractive, the city centre map clear and easy to use, the opening times of all the attractions very accurate. We enjoyed tea in Jenners, a delicious vegetarian lunch in Hendersons and a wonderful afternoon in the city's botanical gardens thanks to this guide; it made our stay so rewarding.
