5.0 out of 5 stars Faultless., 18 May 2001
By Robert Johnson (The Remote Parts of, Scotland) - See all my reviews
(TOP 1000 REVIEWER)
Joolz is the hardest-working performance poet in Britain today. Errors of the Spirit is her finest collection yet. Her style is more in line with that of a story-teller and clearly has no time for exclusive poetic forms or elitist snobbery. She allows her stories, brilliantly told, to make their impression. Simply, this is powerful poetry, not clever-clever poetry. I've shed more tears reading Joolz than a lifetime of trying to get my head around TS Eliot. Please buy this book. Poetry in Britain is dying, but poets like Joolz really can redeliver it to you.
