Synopsis
This work is for those with an interest in Scots terminology with particular reference to buildings. The dictionary includes the common term for rivets in plaster work and the term used in Shetland for a tongue or projection running along the side of a plank. It builds on the earlier "Glossary of Scottish Buidling". The book features full-page illustrations for quick reference and should be of use to planners, architects, surveyors and other constuction professionals, as well as lawyers, administrators and researchers, and lay people interested in the variety of the Scots tongue.
