5.0 out of 5 stars The Situationist Bibliography, 21 Jun 2001
I have no doubt that Simon Ford has toiled for days to give the world the first complete bibiography of a philosophy that scorns organization. And I must say the product is excellent.

If you are researching the Situationist International, situationism, or anything about the events of May 1968; you simply must have this book. The other alternative is to turn your library upside down.

It's your choice.

1.0 out of 5 stars how not to understand the S.I., 1 Feb 2004
a very bad, unimaginative introduction that does large unjustice to the richness of situationist theory. Simon Ford is a curator at the Victoria and Albert and, not surprisingly, cannot say anything else except that the S.I. was an artistic avant-garde. one has to get rid once and for all of such anchoring discourse in order to let the history of the movement speak of other things. the bibliography is well researched but not of much interest as its largest part reflects Ford's arguments, arguments that fix and name and define. To such nonsense one can juxtapose the work of Giorgio Agamben who has taken up the situationist project in the most imaginative way.
