Product Description

Synopsis

Pastime Publications are delighted to announce that after the success of last year's total revamp of the Scotland for Fishing line, the 2003/2004 edition is going to be even better. Building on the success of 2002, we welcome to the team Stan Headley, as Regional Editor, with direct responsibility for our comprehensive angling Directory. Stan is one of the most highly respected names in Scottish Fly Fishing circles and has a comprehensive knowledge of Scotland's game fishing heritage. He is widely recognised as the best traditional trout fly innovator and tyer in the UK, as well as a multiple fly fishing competition winner. Stan's in depth knowledge will help to make our Directory the single most up to date and comprehensive Scottish information resource for anglers available anywhere. Stan will work alongside our now established Editor, Mike Shepley. Mike is a former twice winner of the SFSA Scottish Open Boat Championships, British National Boat Champion and EFSA European Champion. His experience and knowledge of the Scottish fishing scene is encyclopaedic.

The 2003/2004 guide will continue our theme of Scottish Gems, featuring a wide range of the best angling spots around the country. There will also be the usual plethora of articles from respected anglers on: shoreline tactics for saltwater sport, small boat fishing inshore, traditional loch-style fly fishing, light tackle fly fishing for summer sea trout and salmon, autumn fishing for salmon, salmon on a budget, specimen wild brown trout and where to find them, stillwater competition fly fishing and others. There will also be information on what flies to use, tips on technique, fishing friendly hotels, travel information, colour photos and maps, all in a very user friendly new regionalised format. Scotland for Fishing 2003/2004 will be the absolutely definitive guide to fishing Scotland's waters.
