John Bunzl's book succinctly, but thoroughly, explains how the trend towards global competitiveness is speeding us down the path of no-return. However, as you'll note from the title, this is not your typical doom-and-gloom portent; John Bunzl also tells us what we can do as individuals to take back voting power, and change the world.

The book is just one tool of a worldwide movement which aims to pressure political candidates to align themselves to the Simultaneous Policy whatever their political stance (within reason) in exchange for ISPO (International Simultaneous Policy Organisation) member votes in their own constituency. At an undetermined point in the future, when each country has agreed to The Policy in principle, all countries are then freed-up to act simultaneously in starting to reverse some of the terrible ecological and social effects of today's global marketplace.

Read in conjunction with the SIMPOL (Simultaneous Policy) website and newsgroup, this book really makes you believe that your own efforts CAN have a positive effect on the planet and the poorest of its people. If you're reading this review I'm already helping to save the planet. If you buy the book you'll be well on the path to saving it yourself!
