A great collection of photographs from New Cumnock's past each with supporting text by New Cumnock's local history expert, Donald McIver. The photographs show the changing landscape of the parish through the 20th century and include many images of the small coal-mining communities that once blossomed here. A great addition to any New Cumnockian (home or abroad) collection of memorabilia.

The research shows... (McIvor is a local historian and knows his subject). This is a collection of captioned photographs when it comes down to it. For any expats from the banks of the Afton I recommend hois latest book as an additional reference.
