This is one of my favourite local history books, and is fascinating for everyone who lives in, is from or knows Barnsley.

Whilst all the pictures are from way before my time, I still found it very interesting to see the development of the town, with some things I recognise and others I don't.

And of course for anyone who remembers the time of the photos it will bring back lots of memories. A very good book for everyone who is interested in the world's greatest town!
