A gripping and evocative first-hand account of life on a merchant ship during the Battle of the Atlantic. The u-boat attack on Convoy HX72 is vividly described, as are living conditions on the ships and the bravery and camaraderie of the merchant seamen. A moving testimony. Recommended.
